Senior Systems Operator—Star♦Tower Lead Crew Chief
Global Near Space Services (GNSS) is currently seeking an experienced Senior Systems Operator—Star♦Tower Lead Crew Chief for its Star♦Tower Aerostat System.
GNSS is a privately held corporation headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado, whose flagship products focus on Lighter-Than-Air (LTA) unmanned aerospace systems. GNSS operates in conjunction with its parent company, Near Space Systems, Inc., in development of these LTA platforms with missions to provide wide-area communications, broadband, and sensing devices to meet the high demands of military and commercial customers for network connectivity and ready access to vital information.

Team Builder, Leader and Trainer in Aerostat Operations
Are you an experienced field operator with demonstrated success in building and training teams and developing other leaders? Would you be happy being the lead field operator for a growing aerospace company? If so, we would like to talk to you. Global Near Space Services is a growing company operating next-generation lighter-than-air aerostats and airships. Our Star♦Tower aerostat division needs a leader who has demonstrated success in building field teams from the ground up. Here’s what you will be doing:
Within 90 days, you will find, hire, build and train a world-class field operations team to fly and maintain the GNSS Star♦Tower aerostat. You will need to work with a professional training organization to train your own team and prepare the company to train many other teams for operating in locations all over the world.
Within 180 days, you will be the company’s expert on operating and maintaining the system and have demonstrated competence that inspires others. You will also be well-versed in all key safety issues associated with field and flying operations. Your expertise will be built upon proven success in field operations in an aviation, naval, military or transportation environment.
Within 180 days, you will have developed and implemented a method for tracking how satisfied our customers are with our field performers and have identified ways we can improve their satisfaction with our service.
Within 180 days, you will have a world-class operating team that is able to develop and field other excellent teams in locations around the world. Some of those locations will include classified government operations and you must be a U.S. citizen, undergo a government security investigation and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
